The HSSD Eco Range drum heater is designed for applications where gentle, energy-efficient heating is required. It is ideal for maintaining temperature and reducing the viscosity of products stored in steel drums, supporting gravity feed or low-pressure pumping.
Typical materials include oils, waxes, soaps, foodstuffs and non-temperature-sensitive chemicals. The reduced power density delivers gradual, even heat distribution, helping to minimise energy consumption while reducing the risk of product degradation.
The silicone side drum heater incorporates a 0–120°C capillary thermostat to provide reliable and controlled temperature regulation. Heating is generated by accurately positioned PFA-coated multi-stranded resistance wires, laid widthways throughout the heater to ensure even heat distribution across the drum surface.
The protective PFA coating prevents conductor wear often seen in lower-cost alternatives, helping to maintain electrical insulation and safe operation throughout the heater’s service life. Installation is quick and secure using a simple hook and spring fixing system.
Each heater can be marked with identification and batch information to support manufacturing traceability, with custom branding and logos available on request.
The HSSD Eco range is used on metal drums for gentle temperature maintenance of materials such as oils, lubricants, waxes, soaps, detergents, foodstuffs, and non-temperature-sensitive chemicals.
