Food Delivery

During the pandemic the use of home delivery of groceries has doubled. Delivery vans are fitted with refrigeration units to keep produce as fresh as possible. During the cooling process condensation builds up on the heat exchanger and Holroyd supply the commercial automotive heating components to evaporate this condensate.

Our silicone heaters are also used within food delivery bags on mopeds or motorbikes to maintain the temperature of food before being delivered. These heaters are usually supplied at a low DC voltages suitable for automotive power sockets.

Car Parts

Our silicone and Kapton heaters have been used to heat a variety of car parts including seats, steering wheels and to aid in the demisting of wing mirrors. These heating elements are also used within the commercial automotive manufacturing process, often being placed within or on large machinery.

Batteries

One of the weak points in cold weather is the batteries of many type of vehicles. A flexible silicone heater placed under a battery can keep the battery from freezing up and provides an easy to fit yet effective solution for restoring battery performance in cold conditions. Holroyd automotive heaters have also been used to increase efficiency and maintain the performance of batteries on electric and hybrid vehicles.

Tyre Warmers

For many years Holroyd have supplied motorbike tyre warmers which are used by professional riders in races across the world. Using a similar technology to our drum heaters, the tyre warmers are a effective and quick solution for getting tyres up to temperature.
